Frederik Ernsts Garden

The 300 m2 Italian-inspired courtyard is located in the heart of Assens, behind Østergade 57. The garden is built by silverware manufacturer Frederik Ernst (1892-1976) who was very interested in anything Italian. It is especially apparant in the central elements in the garden - a colonnade and sculptures that lead thoughts to the Renaissance times in Rome.

The garden is surrounded by the buildings that housed Ernst's Silverware factory from the late 1800s. Here, silverware was produced to Danish and foreign consumers until the factory shut down in 1950.

Bring your lunch and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the garden, a few steps away from the city's main street.
